Coaching for Engagement

Why You Should Attend

Coaching for Engagement is designed for those specifically focusing on improving learner engagement in their schools.  The goal of this course is to help participants understand the importance of total student engagement and how to coach teachers in this area.  Participants will examine strategies to enhance behavioral, cognitive, and emotional engagement. Classroom reflection questions as well as other practical coaching tools and strategies will be discussed during each session.  Participants will leave this series with a toolbox of resources to utilize as they strive to increase active learner engagement of all students.

  • The importance of creating active, engaging learning environments for all students

 

  • The difference between emotional, cognitive and behavioral engagement.

  • Reflective questions to help gauge the level of engagement in classroom instruction

  • Practical and evidence-based strategies to help enhance engagement in daily instruction

What to Expect

  • All participants should acquire a copy of Coaching Redefined.  A copy of the book is not included in the registration fee.

​

  • Participants will be given a set of handouts the day of each workshop session.  These materials will be tailored to the individual needs of the group and are included in the registration fee.  

​

  • Zoom will be utilized as the host platform for this virtual workshop/  Participants will be required to access Zoom (5.8.6 or higher)* on a computer.

Learn More about the Facilitator, Sherry St. Clair

Sherry St. Clair is the author of Coaching Redefined and founder of Reflective Learning LLC, an educational consulting agency based in Kentucky. Her organization works with schools across the country, creating specialized training and coaching services for school administrators and educators. 

Additionally, Sherry has served as a Senior Consultant for the International Center for Leadership in Education and a Senior Consultant for Houghton Mifflin.

Cancellation Policy:

  • If registered participants cancel fifteen or more days before the event begins, they will be offered a full refund.   

  • If registered participants cancel less than fifteen days before the event begins, no refund will be given.

 

 

Workshop Access:

  •  Participants will have access to the recorded content for 30 days after the workshop.
